Background
Meridian-Fit is a physiotherapy clinic based in Ljubljana, which offers rehabilitation services after various types of injuries. Their manager Jaka came to us with the idea to make his clinic the biggest in Slovenia. Our job was first to design and build a new website using semantic programming features (semantic HTML structure, microdata, schema, etc), fresh and responsive UX layout and expansion of topical map. We have also created new article layouts which were considering newly defined predicates. Simultaneously to the website we have optimized their Google Business Profile to increase their positions in the local 3 pack.
Our main idea was to make the website user friendly before causing its reranking and historical data collection. We were also striving to reduce website loading times and made it responsive for mobile and tablets.
Main keywords
Before we started with the website and Google Business Profile optimisation process we researched the different variations of local keywords that match with their services. We have analyzed their top competitors to understand users’ search intent and filter keywords that generate the most profit to rank them first. After comparing their search volumes, we have grouped them into primary and secondary keywords. We decided to rank their homepage for the primary keywords (Fizioterapija, Rehabilitacija) and to rank separate inner pages for secondary keywords (poskodba rame, poskodbe hrbtenice etc. ).
Before we started we sat down with their management to collect feedback on which keywords generate the most profit for them. The goal was to rank those keywords first in the top spots of the local 3 pack and local organic results.
The results
The first step was to expand the topical map and create new article layouts based on the predefined predicates. After the first tests with the new article layouts we have already secured the top 5 positions for the primary keywords which also helped us to secure the top positions in the local 3 pack.
After that we have created a new website layout and continued to write articles to expand the topical map.
